Max’s Mitzvah Project
As so many of you know, I’m truly passionate about surfing, so for my mitzvah project, I have chosen to volunteer with and fundraise for A WALK ON WATER (AWOW) – SURF THERAPY. AWOW serves thousands of children with unique needs through the power of surf therapy. AWOW events enable these children to go out on the water with professional surfers (“therapists”), giving them the incredible experience of surfing. And one of the parts that I like the most about AWOW Surf Therapy is that their events include the entire family so that while the children with special needs are in the water, their siblings and parents can enjoy a relaxing and fun day at the beach through activities, musical performances and so much more. I will be volunteering at AWOW events this summer and fall and I’m reaching out to my friends and family to raise funds to help AWOW continue their awesome work. Putting on these events is expensive as everything is provided for free for the families so any amount is helpful! Thank you for joining me in supporting this cause.
